I remember 4th of January, 2011 yr. very well. I woke up early, around 6 a.m. The weather was good: frosty winter morning, but sky was clear. I had only good predictions.

The path was a little difficult because of frost, wind and snow. It was around 9 a.m. when I came on spot, around 2 km away from my city. Scenery was like a snow desert, if you take away a few trees.



I worried and was thinking how I could take advantage of opportunities given by the nature. This kind of phenomenon is rather rare if you don't traveling a lot. But the same nature gave me another gift. When the land was covered by a half-shadow around 9:30, temperature turned down a little bit more and a part of humidity in the air was instantly turned to a fog.




It is my the best photo session on a fresh air.

It was my artistic experiment, it was also first tray with different light sources. Firstly, I tried with two sources - integrated flash as master and outside flash as slave. It was horrible, for many reasons. The flashes didn't have a repeatable power and flashes wounded my eyes. If you are doing some stacks, you know what I mean.



After this try, I had all eyes red from flash for a few days. I decided to buy some lamps, I also made a simple umbrella-like reflectors from springs, rods and space blanket. My little studio run very well.



The time of second try had came. I finally could make photos with comfortable conditions.

Like at previous time, I have chosen a few works from my favourite categories of photography (macro, birds and landscapes). Those works are good for me: there isn't place for blur, wrogn composed or simply bad photos. I don't like unnatural photos, I mean situations, when you taking photo in your hause. I don't like cutting of model, trees and I hate frames (so often with bad photo), and bizzare colour manipulations. That's my criterion. So, there are 10 works of different Deviants for each category.

I always thought that nature should be showed at pictures in its natural colors, but I wanted to try something new. I have a small collection of cactuses.

This is the effect of my work.

I just have bought one year premium membership, so it is best time to upgrate the journal.

First change. I added some buttons on right sidebar, linked with folders in my gallery: macro, birds and lanscapes (for me, the most importat subjects in photography).

Second change. I modified divider, to show it in the center of text, not journalbox. It had took a while until I found a solution. The whole divider was changed. I think that some butterflies are more appropiate than a few lines.

Third change. I added scrollbox with groups where I am.
